The ASSIGNMENTPRO™ system also gives users the ability to run reports for yearend through the Tax Calc Batch screen. Year end reports are intended for both management and employees, to summarize the assignment expense activity for the year and to assist in tax return preparation. This report is designed to only display amounts in US currency.

Tax Calc – Year End (4782) Report

In addition to the Tax Calc Year End Report which is available on the Tax Calc Batch Screen, a user-configurable version of this report is available in both the Company Reports and assignment level.

This report includes the following parameters:

Tax Year

This required filter limits the report to assignments included in a specified Tax Year.

Payroll System ID

This filter is only available at the company level, and allows the user to limit the report to assignments included in a specified Payroll System.

Exclude if Payroll Hold Until Date is Greater Than

This filter allows the user to exclude assignments from the report via use of a hold date. At the assignment level, under Tax Assistance, on the General tab is a Payroll Hold Until date field. Using the Payroll Hold Until field in conjunction with the Exclude if Payroll Hold Until Date is Greater Than field, allows the user to exclude all expenses associated with certain assignments from the report. This feature is commonly used to exclude new assignments where the employee has yet to be set up in payroll.

Transferee Identifier

This drop down lists the fields which are available to appear on the report as Transferee Identifiers. The user can choose to display one of the “To” Employee Identifier fields from the Assignment page; one of the “From” Employee Identifier fields from the Assignment page; the Relocation System Number; or no Employee Identifier.

Exclude Checkboxes

These four (4) checkboxes allow the user to exclude any of the following pages or sections from the report:

Detail Page – This page lists all expenses associated with an assignment.

Tax Impact Page – This page displays the detail of the tax calculation.

Summary Page – This page presents the information formerly required to be reported on IRS Form 4782.

Tax Assistance Summary – This section of the Summary Page provides a breakdown of the tax assistance amounts amongst the various taxing authorities.
