Legend Location

The selection made here will determine the location of the legend on the chart. A selection can also be made to display no legend. A legend location cannot be selected for Gauge Chart Types.

Show Export Options

Check this checkbox to display the Export Options dropdown within a widget. Leave this checkbox unchecked to remove export capabilities from the widget.

Floating Legend

Check this checkbox to display the legend as floating in the chart area. Leave this checkbox unchecked to display the legend outside the chart area.

Angled Labels

Check this checkbox to tilt the labels at a 45 degree angle. This option can be used to create additional room for a large amount of labels of for labels that have a large number of characters. This option is not available for Map, Pie or Gauge Chart Types.

Hide Tickmarks

Check this checkbox to hide the tickmarks on the chart. This option is not available for Map or Pie Chart Types.

Curved Lines

This option is only available for Line Chart Types. Check this checkbox to make the lines of the chart curved instead of straight.

Other Interactive Chart Options

Interactive charts created through the User Report writer also include some additional, built in interactive features that are shown below.

Hover Over Information

When hovering over a chart the system will provide detail information about the specific data point. This can be seen in screen shot below.

Export Capabilities

Interactive charts can also be exported into a PNG, JPEG, SVG image or a PDF document. This can be done by selecting the image in the right hand corner of the chart and the selecting the desired option.

This image only appears when the Show Export Options checkbox in Advanced Chart Options is checked. This can be seen in the screen shot below.

Zoom In Capabilities

Interactive charts can also been zoomed in on if there is a desire to view a specific data point or data points more closely. Provided below is an example of the chart in its normal view and then also in a zoomed in view.

Each chart can be zoomed in on by clicking and dragging the mouse across the area to be zoomed in on.

Ability to turn “On” and “Off” data points

Interactive charts also give the ability to turn data points in the chart “On” or “Off”. For example, to display the above chart to only show 2014 data, 2013 can turned “Off” by simply clicking on 2013 in the chart legend.
