Configuration for the MEE is accessed from the Configuration tab, Portal Configuration menu group, Employee Experience Configuration menu item. This displays the Portal Configuration screen. For more information on how to configure each section, click the hyperlinks.

Turn On the MEE

To activate the MEE for all External Employee user types, simply uncheck the Inactive check box and save.

Themes & Logos

The theme of the MEE can be customized via the Company and System Theme Builder screens. A theme can be applied in two ways:

  • An active MEE theme can be configured for a company/each company existing on the platform via the Company Theme Builder

  • An active MEE theme configured at the System Theme Builder is applied for all companies existing on the platform

Portal Card Configuration

This section allows administrators to edit certain attributes about the cards in MEE. Cards can appear as portal cards displayed beneath the Tasks and Announcement areas as well as be configured to appear as an item in the navigation menu.

Advanced Settings

The Advanced Settings section allows administrators to change the behavior of features that have been shipped with a specific default.

  • Announcement Set - allows the administrator to choose the list of announcements that are shown to all MEE users. The messages themselves are configured using the Portal Announcement Maintenance screen.

  • Expenses Security - administrators can choose whether MEE users have <Full Access> rights to Expenses or <Read Only> access .

    • <Full Access> – user is allowed to view posted expense reports, submit expense reports, edit expense reports (if not already submitted), and delete expense reports (if not already submitted).

    • <Read Only> – user is only allowed to view posted expense reports. The user is NOT allowed to submit, edit, or delete any reports. The [Add Expenses] button will not be visible in the portal

  • Messaging - administrators can choose whether to turn on the feature or hide it.

    • <Enabled> - MEE users can communicate with his or her assignment resources. A key for Messaging is required to be applied in the Equus Platform for the Messaging feature to be enabled for portal users. Contact an Equus Client Services Account Manager for details.

    • <Disabled> = the messaging application will be hidden from the portal.

    • Profile - allow administrators to control whether or not MEE users see each of the profile sections that appear in the navigation menu. Administrators have the ability to enable or disable the entirety of the profile section by choosing <Enabled> or <Disabled>. If <Disabled> is chosen, MEE users will not see any of the profile section information, icons that appear in the navigation menu on the MEE.

    • Profile Sections (Spouse / Domestic Partner, Dependent, Pets, Emergency Contacts, Addresses, Banking and Requests) -If Profile is <Enabled>, the information that is displayed can be further manipulated for each profile section. There are three options available for each profile section screen configuration:

      • <Full Access> – Gives employees add, edit, and delete (where applicable) rights to the Profile

      • <Read Only> – Gives employees rights to only view the information entered on the Profile screen; fields are locked from being edited.

      • <No Access> – Employees are not able to access the Profile The relevant icons, menu item, and tab do not display on the MEE.

    • There are three fields where administrators can choose to rename the sections that appear on the MEE's assignment home page.

      • Tasks Section Terminology -rename the Tasks section

      • Announcement Section Terminology - rename the Announcement section

      • Timeline Section Terminology - rename the Timeline section

  • Document Security - Controls specific behavior into Documents (Upload, visualization) as seen on the MEE.

    • <Full Access> - Employee can view all the documents that the employee currently has access to. Employee can add new documents to their assignment information.

    • <No Access> - Employee cannot view any document that the employee should have access, even if they exist. Employee cannot upload any new documents and any section rendering documents will not be visible.

    • <Read Only> - Employee cannot upload any new documents, but has access to the current ones. Employee cannot edit any existing document.

  • Passport Security - Controls specific behavior into Passports (Upload, visualization) as seen on the MEE.

    • <Full Access> - Employee can view existing passports and add new ones.

    • <No Access> - Employee cannot visualize any section concerning Passports and cannot upload any new Passports.

    • <Read Only> - Employee cannot upload any new passports, but can view any existing passport documents that exist. Editing an existing passport/s is also locked.

This section allows administrators the ability to prevent MEE users from seeing their assignments on the MEE based on the employee's authorization status. By default, all assignments are shown on the MEE.

Additional security options and links to pages:

Document Categories - navigates to the Document Types screen to set up or make changes to document types that would pertain to documents users would see

What's Happening Configuration - navigates to What's Happening Events screen to edit events that are shown on the horizontal timeline for users of the MEE.

Security Role Maintenance - navigates to the Security Role Maintenance screen for the “Equus - Employee Experience” role to edit the Advanced Data Restrictions (data sensitivity access and field decryption rights) for users of the MEE.
