The Employee / Assignment Flexible Header Import (hereafter referred to as “the import”) is used to create or update Employee and/or Assignment data. While the import is capable of inserting or updating just one record at a time, it is also capable of inserting or updating an almost indefinite number of records in one run. The bulk of the data fields available for import includes those fields that can be seen on the Employee Details screen and the Assignment/Relocation Details screen. There are a few exceptions and they are outlined below.
The import is available at both system and company levels. To run a system level import, click on the Configuration tab and locate the Import Data menu item under the Import / Export menu group.
The company level version can be found by first selecting a company and then locate the Import Data menu item under the Advanced menu group.
Things to Note
Importing data or updating the value of ASSIGNMENT!INACTIVE field is not supported. This field can still be updated directly in the database by a developer and/or using the checkbox on the Assignment screen.
Any Advanced Audit Logging table (AAL_TABLENAME) cannot be targeted by any import process
If a generic error occurs, it is recommended to review the Event Log for more details.
