A Fixed Import is a CSV (Comma Delimited) file that contains only data rows and must not include a header row as it uses a predefined header. The Exchange Rate import is an example of a Fixed Import which uses 4 fields (From Currency, To Currency, Exchange Rate and Effective Date).

Fixed imports are also known as Standard Imports because they are built for specific reasons or needs and are available to all clients. Thorough documentation on how to create files for all Standard imports are available in the Help Center.

Fixed imports are not flexible or customizable hence the columns must be laid out in the order defined by the import requirements and every row in the file must have the same number of columns (i.e. all columns must have a value for each data row). If the order is not exact, the import will be unsuccessful. Any error in a data row will results in that row being rejected by the import but other rows will still be imported.
