What is a Secondment?

Refers to an employment relationship established between the employee/assignee and the host company in the host location. Sometimes, the existing employment relationship with the home entity is terminated. Alternatively, the existing relationship can also be kept in existence but ‘frozen’ to some extent. This gives rise to a dual employment scenario.
