Updates

Updates include calculation and rate changes to reflect current tax law resulting from inflation adjustments and legislative changes. Updates are effective January 1, 2023 unless stated otherwise. Amounts are given in USD.

United States

Ohio

  • Made the following changes to the tax table:

    • Removed the 3.226% bracket.

    • Increased the threshold for the 3.688% bracket by $7,850 to $100,000.

    • Decreased the rates for the 2nd and top brackets. The new 3.75% top rate applies to income above $115,300.

  • Updated the rates for 9 local tax authorities.

Pennsylvania

Decreased the following Philadelphia resident tax rates, effective July 1, 2023:

  • Supplemental by 0.04% to 3.75%.

  • Statute by 0.0449% to 3.77%, which is the average 2023 rate.

Washington

Added the Long Term Care Fund contribution as a local tax authority. To include this tax, select it on the Tax Authority screen.

Wisconsin

  • Corrected the graduated supplemental withholding table by decreasing the tax amounts. The previous calculation resulted in an overstatement of tax when taxable expenses shifted income into a higher tax bracket.

  • Decreased the rates of the first and second tax brackets by 0.04% to 3.50% and 0.25% to 4.40%, respectively, retroactively effective January 1, 2023.
