This page provides an overview of the Automatic Social Tax Feature, which can be used to apply social security agreements to cost estimates and U-Calcs.

Automatic social tax enables the application of social security agreements for the calculation of social taxes. Typically, where an agreement exists social taxes calculate on an all or nothing basis, i.e. all elements of Home social tax calculated, and all Host social tax is not calculated. See Enhanced Automatic Social Tax Feature for information on how partial agreements are supported. See below diagrams for results for both Temporary and Permanent moves.

Note that there is different behaviour for temporary moves using Tax Equalization versus Grossup Only tax calculation methods.

Permanent Moves are assumed to use the Grossup Only method.
