The Employee Media Posts screen can be utilized to create Ad Hoc Posts an employee's feed in Equus Guide. To navigate to the screen, open a mobility record, and look for the Employee Media Posts option under the General section of the left-side navigation menu.
The following tabs are available under the Employee Media Posts screen:
Ad Hoc Posts
You can create and upload an ad hoc post to an employees feed through this tab in the Employee Media Posts screen. Click on
to create a new ad hoc post, or on
to view or edit existing ad hoc posts.
Note that the ad hoc post will only be created for the employee connected to the mobility record.
When creating an ad hoc post, you can choose to:
Selecting From the Company Employee Media Library
When creating a new post, select 'From media library' on the Media Source field.
Select a Target Date, and choose an existing media item on the Company Media field. You can choose to quickly navigate to the media item by clicking on the link next to the field.
Click on Save to finalize the post, or on
to submit the post to the employee's feed.
Creating Custom Media
When creating a new post, select "Custom media" on the Media Source field.
Note that the custom media only supports the Text media type.
Select a Target Date, and specify a Name and Title. Enter a Description to define what the custom media is.
You can upload a Cover Image that will be displayed on the post in the Guide App once the ad hoc post is submitted.
Enter the ad hoc post content on the Media Text rich text field, which allows for formatting, images, URLs, and theming.
Click on Save to finalize the post, or on
to submit the post to the employee's feed.
All Posts
The All Posts tab will display all media items that have been uploaded to the feed of an employee's Equus Guide app.
If the post was submitted through a Distribution Rule from the Company Employee Media Library screen, the rule name will be displayed on the post record.
Ad hoc posts will keep the 'Rule Name' column blank.
You can quickly navigate to the source media by clicking on the quick link under the Source Link column.
Things to Note
From the 26.2 release, a post can now be designed hosting several different media elements and then be shared on a single feed item to the Guide App.
