The Billing module allows you to enter manual receivables or generate Service Fee, Referral Fee, and/or Expense based receivables by creating Receivables Batches. Once the receivables are created you can then create an Invoice Batch to create Invoices comprised of the receivables. You can then print invoices to request payment or for record keeping.
The basic steps are:
Enter any Manual Receivables (if necessary)
Create a New Receivables Batch on the Manage Receivables menu item. This will capture any receivables created from Referral Fee Billing Rules, Service Fee Billing Rules and/or Reimbursable Expenses, depending on your selections.
Process the Batch to include any desired items by checking the Create? Column for each page. Check Mark Complete if they should also be marked complete.
Then create an invoice for them on the Manage Invoices menu item by adding a New Invoice Batch. When you have specified the desired criteria click the Find New Invoices button and all matching Invoices will be listed. Specify which invoices you want to create and click the Create Invoices button.
Create Printable Invoices by viewing the invoice and clicking the Create Printable Invoices button.
Payments/Credits can then be applied to the invoices until it is paid in full.
You can also use the Billing Control Panel to create and process receivables, generate invoice and close fiscal periods all in one screen.
