Business Rules

On the Business Rule Calculation screen, the Usage section lists all the places and templates where that Business Rules is currently used. By default, the Usage section is collapsed and shows the number of instances where the business rule is used. Click the Usage Bar to view more details

Business Rule Usage Bar

The Usage section expands after clicking on the Usage bar. The Usage grid displays the following:

  • Entity - Screen/page where that business rule is being used e.g. Cost Estimate Line Item Template,

  • Name - Record name. For Resource Allocation Rules, the Ruleset Name together with the name of the resource the rule is assigned to will be displayed

  • Last Updated - The User ID and the date of the last updated record

  • Inactive - If the record is active (No) or inactive (Yes)

  • Link - Opens the listed record in a different tab when icon is clicked

Table Lookup, Function, Input Variable, Math and Multi-Context components

To view the usage of a component, you can either:

  • Navigate to the components tab and click on the name of the component.

  • Click on any Table Lookup, Function, Math, Input Variable or Multi-Context component to view the details of it within a Business Rule record.

The usage modal appears, click on the Usage tab.

Component Usage Details

The Usage tab displays the following:

  • Entity - List where the component record is being used (Business Rule, Table Lookup, Function or Math)

  • Name - Name of the record

  • Last Updated - The User ID and the date of the last updated record

  • Inactive - If the component record is active (No) or inactive (Yes)

  • Link - Opens the listed record. If the listed record is inside a Table Lookup, Function or Math) the respective modal opens. If the listed record is inside a Business Rule, the Business Rule record opens in a new tab
