Q. How do I get values to appear in the Security Role lookup field on the Employee Details screen?

A. Specify which security roles you want to appear utilizing the External User Login Settings section of the Portal Configuration screen on the Companies tab. This only applies if you are using the old Employee Portal configuration, and not the MEE. If your MEE is enabled, your employees will automatically get the Equus - Employee Experience security role.

Available System Configuration Options

There are two hidden system configuration options that Equus can assist you with if desired:

  1. User ID and Password Emails: There is a system preference that controls whether one email is sent to the user containing both pieces of information or whether they get two separate emails

  2. External Employee User ID: There is a system preference that controls whether the external employee user id is based upon the employee’s name or email address

Customizing Welcome and Password Reminder Emails

The Welcome and Password Reminder emails generated by the Equus Platform can be customized by user type (internal, portal client, portal employee, and portal vendor) and can include a variety of merge data in the email subject and body.

Customizing the merge content of the Welcome and Password Reminder emails requires technical assistance from Equus. The hardcoded text in the subject and body of the email can be edited if your security role enables you access to this configuration screen: https://youAPrositename.com/Utilities/EmailTemplate/emailtemplate.aspx.
