Data sensitivity when applied to an object within the system allows for access/visibility to be limited to users with the appropriate access only.
Data sensitivity is set at a security role level on the the Security Role Maintenance screen. A user's data sensitivity is determined by the security role(s) associated with the user on the User Maintenance screen.
Data sensitivity can be applied to the following objects:
Dashboards layouts
Document types
Production reports
User reports (system and company level)
User report types
For example, if data sensitivity is added to document types, only those who have been given access to the data sensitivity category will see on document types.
Data sensitivity values that appear in the drop down list are configured on the System Lookup Maintenance screen.
Things to Note:
Make sure you have selected the data sensitivity on all objects. Having a blank data sensitivity field will still give a user access to it.
