An e-signature document can be deleted on the Assignment Documents page only when the document Status is <Not Sent>, <Signed>, <Declined>, or <Cancelled>. Users must have the "Delete" right granted to them for the Assignment Documents page on the Security Role Maintenance page.

When the document is deleted in the <Signed>, <Declined>, or <Cancelled> statuses, the record will disappear from the Document screen but a record of the used envelope continues to remain in the system.
NOTE: When assignments are deleted using the
button on the Assignment page or the Assignment Deletion Batches page, E-Signature documents are not just deleted from the Equus Platform, but are also deleted from the e-signature provider, if they have not already been deleted as a result of normal processing by the provider.
Documents that are in the status of <Signature(s) Requested> are additionally cancelled at the e-signature provider and emails are sent to the signers who have the notification to sign, so that signers don’t continue to attempt to sign documents that no longer exist.
If the connection to the e-signature provider is not available at the time the Assignment is deleted, the document is queued for deletion by the Deleted Document Synchronizer, see section Deleted document synchronization for details.
