A vital part of any assignment is the employee’s pay; not only does the employee want to know what they will receive, but those details need to be communicated to payroll so that they are processed correctly.

Salary

A history of the assignee’s salary can be stored in the Compensation screen, located under the Financial menu option. Multiple salary records can be stored for each assignment, each with its own effective date.

The effective date will determine which salary is used in a compensation calculation; see the Creating a Compensation Calculation and Balance Sheet section for further details. Performance related data, such as the reason for the increase and the performance rating, can also be stored with the salary record.

The Compensation screen can be found at the Assignment level, under the Financial tab in the left-side menu. To edit Compensation related data, click on "Edit Salary, Bonuses, and Compensation.

Family Size

Family sizes for the purposes of compensation calculations are stored at the bottom of the Compensation screen. When creating a Family Size record, both the home and host family size with an effective date are required; the family size should always include the employee (i.e. an expat, spouse and child would result in a family size of 3).

The effective date is critical for the purposes of compensation as all compensation calculations in the Equus Platform are effective date driven and will look to find the family size which is the most recent, but no later than, the effective date selected on the calculation.

There can be multiple Family Size records within a single assignment.

To create a Family Size record, navigate to the Compensation screen and click on
