Most dashboard widgets utilize User Reports to supply the data that drives the widget visualization and results. Administrators will be able to alter the filters and data on the widget reports to better fit and organization's needs. Each widget can also be optionally configured to use user rights when displaying these results. Widgets that are shipped with the Equus Platform, by default, do not use user rights when displaying results. Due to this configuration, the results and row counts that appear on the User Report that backs a widget may differ from the counts displayed on the widget itself. In most cases the User Report, which is using user rights security, will be less as it excludes those records that the user does not have access to. On the other hand, the dashboard widget will show counts that reflect the whole system, without filtering results per the user’s security access configuration.
