Widget Maintenance

The Widget Maintenance screen is used to add new widgets as well as manage all existing widgets except for Landing Experience Widgets.  To create a new widget select the + icon.  To create a new chart

The Widget Maintenance screen is used to add new widgets as well as manage all existing widgets except for Landing Experience Widgets. To create a new widget select the + icon. To create a new chart widget, see how to create a new chart widget.

Create a widget by defining a new widget or copy an existing widget. Click

ok button

to continue.

Creating New Widget

There are several properties that can be set to customize a widget's appearance and behavior.

New Widget

The fields in the Widget section are:

System Code

Unique identifier of the widget that is automatically assigned by the system and cannot be edited. Equus Standard widgets (ones that have been delivered by Equus and have a SYSTEM_CODE starting with “EQ”)

Inactive

When checked, the widget is inactive and cannot be selected when adding widgets to a dashboard layout.

Name

The name of the widget, as will appear for selection in the Dashboard Layouts screen. A default name will provided that will include the date and time the widget has been created i.e. "New Widget - Created Jan 16 2019 1:35:06PM". You need to make sure to rename the widget.

Description

Optional field. When added, this is shown on the Widget Maintenance screen and Widgets grid.

Properties vary per Widget Type. Click on the links to view the properties for each widget type and examples.

save button

for the changes to reflect.

Things to Note

  • Use the Go To Dashboard Layouts Page link to easily navigate to the Dashboard layouts page in order to add the newly created widget to a Dashboard.
