The Landing Experience Dashboard Migration Package Type allows users to migrate landing experience dashboards selected from a type-ahead dropdown list from the Migration Package screen.

A description of the chosen landing experience dashboard will be visible under the dropdown field.

The migration package includes the selected landing experience dashboard along with its components such as Widgets, User Tables, User Reports, and User Report Types

Exporting of the Object - follows the same steps as all migration package types and the object is always exported as a PAK file.

Importing of the Object - follows the steps outlined in the "For Business Rule, Dashboard Layout, Landing Experience Dashboard, User Report (include Preq and Type), User Table and Widget migration package types" section.

Things to Note

  • The Landing Experience Dashboard Package will always create a new object; it will not modify an existing object.

  • If an existing Landing Experience Dashboard is detected on the destination site where the package will be imported, the user will have an option to create and rename a new landing experience dashboard.

  • The View, Create, and Edit security rights will need to be granted to the security role of the user for the Landing Experience Dashboard Migration Package Type to appear on the Migration Package screen.

  • If the source and destination sites are not on the same migration package version, then an error will be prompted on import.

  • When imported, if a pre-existing dashboard already has the same name, the word "Copy" will be appended to the end of the copied landing experience dashboard name.

  • When imported, if a pre-existing user report already has the same name, the word "Copy" will be appended to the end of the copied user report name.

  • After the import has been processed, the user will be shown a list of the successfully migrated dashboard and its' user reports, as well as naming conflicts for these migrated components.
