Production Reports can be displayed on any screen in the system via the Report bar. Production Reports are ran via the Report Bar button and a user can choose to create a Microsoft EXCEL, Adobe PDF, or HTML version of the results.

Run in Background

Production Reports with large amounts of data can be run in the background while the user is working in other areas of the system. This allows the system to run the report more efficiently while the user no longer needs to wait for the report to finish.

The ‘Run in Background’ checkbox can be found on any production report parameters screen. Checking this box allows the report to be run in PDF or Excel (.xls and .xlsx) formats only. A status of the report will appear near the checkbox and when the report is completed, a link to the completed report will display.

Run Production Report in Background

This completed link lets the user view the results of the report. The link displays the date/time the report was last run by the current user. Other users will not have access to this link and would need to run the report from their own login to view the results.

This is important to note since not all users have the same security rights to all files and/or data so the results may be different depending on the user’s security settings.

While the report is running, it displays one of four statuses.

  • Pending - displayed when the report is ready to run

  • Processing - displayed when the report is running

  • One of two statuses is displayed next:

    • Completed - displayed when the report completes OR

    • Error - displayed if there was an error encountered while the report was running

The results of the report will display for seven (7) days after the report has been run. After that, the system will clear the link.
