Special Security Groups can be created to categorize certain groups of assignees, such as confidential moves, or VIPs. Only users with access to the specified group will be able to see the assignment record. As special security groups are applied to assignees at an assignment level, they do not prevent users from viewing the employee record and should be applied to each assignment record that should be restricted.

For example, if an employee has four assignment records and a special security group is applied to one of the assignment records, the other three records will remain viewable by all users.

To allocate a Special Security Group to an Assignment Record, view the assignment record in edit mode and click the

button in the Special Security Groups section.

Select a value from the Group drop down list. To add new security groups, this is done on the Special Security Group screen at the company level.

By default, users are denied access to all special security groups. This security is defined at the user level on the User Maintenance screen on the Special Security Group Security tab by configuring whether to grant or deny access to the available company special security groups.
