Overview
To prevent users from accidentally changing a user report (system and company level), it is recommended that the report be locked for publication.
Security Role
The security role for both System User Report and Company User Report screen must grant the Lock and Unlock checkboxes on the Security Role Maintenance screen to control the Publication Locked Icon on the User Report Details screen.
Unlocking/Locking User Report
When a user's role is granted Lock and Unlock rights on the User Report Details screen, the user can select the padlock icon to lock and unlock the user report from publication. When the cursor is placed over the padlock icon, help text appears. Click on an open padlock to lock the report.
Below is an example of a locked company user report.
When the report is locked, a message appears at the top "This report has been locked for publication" will appear. For users who have the right to unlock a report, they can do so by clicking on the closed padlock.
Things to Note
The User Report Publication Lock screen which works simultaneously with the User Report Publication Lock icon on the User Report Details screen has been decommissioned as part of the Equus Platform v22.1. You can check the details in the Equus Platform v22.1 Release Note.
