Errors encountered during the fixed / flexible header import process will be displayed under the Log section of the Import Details screen. Here are examples of import errors and the causes:
Not uploading an import file
A Status of "Failed with Errors" appears if [Process Import] is clicked on the Import screen without uploading the file first. The Import Details screen will "0" for Rows Processed and Rows Succeeded fields and the "View Flat File Data" link will not appear on the screen.
Importing a blank CSV file
A Status of "Failed with Errors" is displayed and "0" is shown for the Rows Processed and Rows Succeeded fields.
Clicking on "View Flat File Data" link will reveal that the file is empty.
Import file not in CSV format
When the file type of the import file is not in CSV format, the Status of "Processed with Errors" appears. The number of Rows Processed shows how many rows were attempted to be processed. Since there was an error in every data row processed, "0" is shown for the Rows Succeeded field.
Clicking on the "View Flat File Data" link will display the contents of the file and indicate that a CSV file was not imported.
Missing data in fixed import file
For Fixed Imports every data row must contain the same number of columns. In this example, a Status of "Processed with Errors" is shown because one of the data rows was processed but had a data error resulting in differing values for the Rows Processed and Rows Succeeded fields.
The Error Msg indicates which Row number contains the error and what value is missing. Clicking on the "View Flat File Data" link displays the content of the file.
Incorrect Equus Platform lookup value used
In this example, the import file included "Mr" instead of the Equus Platform lookup value of "Mr." resulting in the Status of "Processed with Errors" and the number of Rows Processed and number of Rows Succeeded not matching.
The Log Message indicates which row number and the Error Msg, indicates the field together with the incorrect data used. Clicking on the "View Failed Rows" link displays the data row that failed in a CSV file.
