The Tasks and Reminders Import can be used to create or update company level tasks and reminders. What gets imported is a comma delimited (.csv) file with the first line/row of the file (the header) identifying the database elements for the Task and Reminder and the remaining rows containing the detail of the data to be imported. You can also import a file with no header row. When importing a file with no header row, the data must be in the exact order specified.

Note, even if a header row is included, the import file must strictly follow the expected column formatting. This means the column order, presence of optional columns, spacing, and values must match the template exactly. If an optional column is not needed, leave it blank but do not remove it. Any deviation from the expected format — even with a header row — will cause the import to fail.

While the import is capable of inserting or updating just one record at a time, it is also capable of inserting or updating an almost indefinite number of records in one run. The bulk of the data fields available for import include those fields that can be seen on the Task & Reminders screen.

The import is available only at the system. To run a system level import, navigate to the Systems Import screen at the system level and click on the Import Data menu item under the Import / Export menu group.

To start the import, press the

button for the Tasks and and Reminders Import.

Things to note

  • Note, if the header row is omitted, the column order must be in the exact order as specified in the example of an import file

  • It is possible to remove data from certain fields using <Blank> as the import value. The following fields should not use <Blank> to remove data because the fields are mandatory:

    • Company

    • Name

    • Due Date

    • Assigned To

  • Remind Resources - <Blank> is not supported. To uncheck the checkbox, use No or EQFALS
