An “assignment” or “relocation” (used interchangeably within the AssignmentPro system; also known as business trips, moves, or files) is the movement of an employee from one location (home) to another (host). These movements can be either temporary (e.g. short-term, long-term) or permanent (e.g. transfer, localization); they can also be domestic (e.g. U.S. to U.S.) or international (U.S. to U.K.).
Within AssignmentPro, the terms “assignment” or “relocation” are used to refer to a data record which houses the various details related to a specific employee movement (e.g. home and host job details, start and end date, vendor initiations, etc.).
Fields using the terms “assignment” or “relocation” can be configured to reflect the terminology preferred by the client.
