In preparation for each new tax year, a new Questionnaire Screen Definition has to be created. This Questionnaire Screen Definition will be tied to both the Tax Organizer in the PinPoint site as well as the Checklist that you will create in AssignmentPro.
The Questionnaire Screen Definitions screen stores the list of Questionnaires being used by the system. Questionnaires identified in this screen can be associated with Checklist Items.
Use the configuration search tool to navigate to the Questionnaire Screen Definitions screen at the system level. Click on the + icon to add a create a new Questionnaire Screen Definition record.
Populate the 3 mandatory field displayed.
Screen Definition ID: The unique identifier of the Questionnaire Definition (a.k.a. the Questionnaire Definition ID) in the Questionnaire / Tax Organizer application.
The value of this field must be an positive integer and can be any value so long as it is not used in another Questionnaire Screen Definition record. Make a note of the Questionnaire Definition ID as number will have need to match the ID of the new Tax Organizer created in PinPoint once it is created.
Screen Name: The description of the Questionnaire / Tax Organizer. For example: 2020 U.S. Tax Organizer
This is needed to associate the correct Questionnaire Definition with the checklist item, and can be the same as the name in Tax Organizer in PinPoint. The value entered cannot be used in another Questionnaire Screen Definition record.
Type: Possible options are: <Questionnaire> and <Tax Organizer>. When <Tax Organizer> is selected, two more fields are displayed. Populate the Country and Tax Year Ending using the drop down menus and click [Save].
