Configure the navigation side menu bar for the Landing Experience

The navigation side menu bar is only available to External Clients using the Landing Experience. The side menu can be customized according to use.

Note - it is possible to have one menu for all companies and differing menus for individual companies However, it is not possible to have different menus for separate Landing Experience dashboards.

By default no menu items will appear unless the user has access to multiple companies in which case the Change Company icon will appear at the top of the menu bar.

To configure and customize the menu, navigate to the Company Portal Menu Configuration screen.

Select Defining A New Menu from the drop down list and click

ok

Create a Menu Category

To create a menu category title in the Landing Experience, first create the category by clicking on Edit Portal Menu link in the Portal Menu Overrides section of the screen.

Click

new button

to add a new menu category. Populate the Name, Category Caption and Sequence field and click

save

.

Create a Menu Item

Click the

plus

icon to create a new menu item.

The Portal Menu Items Details section is displayed.

  1. Select the Menu Type:

    • Use Equus Platform Page as the menu type for the Equus Platform screens

    • External Link for external URLs

    • Other Menu Type is utilized for legacy pages

  1. Select the category.

  2. Add sequence.

  3. Select menu caption as per requirement. Select Equus Platform Page in dropdown list or provide the URL

To add a link to an Assignment Page, Select <Equus Platform Page> for the Menu Type. Add a number to the Sequence field, a Menu Caption, and select the require Equus Platform Page name from the drop down list.

Finally, add a row to the Menu Item User Type Access section. Select External Client as the User Type and click

Things to Note

  • When viewing the Landing Experience as an External Client User Type, the menu items will appear in full when the menu side bar is extended. Although the names of the menu items can be changed and grouped to appear under menu category title, the icons cannot.
