Portal Page Configuration Template Page
For the Portal Dashboard page, add User Type Access (default dashboards exist for External Client and External Employee User Types). Add Embedded Controls for each User Type, you will need to specify the dashboard layout (default is Equus Platform Dashboard – Four Zones) in Location = CONTENT. You will also want to add the PAGE_HEADER, PAGE_FOOTER, and SUB_MENU (Equus Platform Portal Header, Equus Platform Portal Footer, and Equus Platform Menu).
Portal Menu Configuration Page
Add the Portal Dashboard Equus Platform Page of Menu Type Equus Platform Page.
Add Menu Item User Type Access (for External Client and External Employee). You may also want to specify the Portal Dashboard as the Landing Page. The Landing Page is the first page users will come to when they log into the system.
Role Maintenance Page
Add security rights to Screen Name = Portal Dashboard (View, Add, Edit, Delete, Execute, Lock, Unlock) for each employee and/or client User Type role that will need access to the portal dashboard.
Portal Configuration Page
On the Company tab, Portal Configuration screen, you must assign an Announcement Set for each User Type. You can also select a FAQ, Glossary, Link Set and Portal Dashboard to display for each User Type.
There are two options for selecting a Portal Dashboard to display. Selecting an item from the “Dashboard Layout (new)” list will cause a new-style Portal Dashboard Layout to be displayed to portal users with the indicated user type. The new-style dashboard framework allows custom Dashboard Layouts to be created and edited on the Configuration menu's Dashboard Layout screen, whereas items on the “Dashboard Template (old)” list cannot easily be customized and may be removed from the system in a future release. Please note that if items from both the Dashboard Layout (new) list and the Dashboard Template (old) lists are selected, then users will be shown both dashboard selections on the portal welcome screen.
