The Mobile Employee Experience can be accessed via mobile devices by downloading and using the mobile app. The mobile app contains the same security and features as the desktop version of the Mobile Employee Experience. There is no limit to the number of devices that are registered to the employee record.

The mobile app is downloadable and usable on the following devices and operating systems:

  • Android phones and tablets with operating systems 5.0 or newer

  • Apple (iOS) phones and tablets with operating systems 10.0 or newer

The mobile app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android devices or the iTunes Store for Apple devices. The app can be found by searching for ‘Mobile Employee Experience’ in your app store.

Links to the app downloads are conveniently provided for employee users on the Account Settings page of the Mobile Employee Experience.

Once the app has been downloaded to the device, click on the app to access it.

When the app is accessed for the first time, the user will be prompted to allow or disallow push notifications to the mobile device.

Choose to allow push notifications by pushing the [Allow] button or disallow push notifications by clicking the [Don’t Allow] button. These push notification settings can be changed at any time within the mobile app settings of a mobile device.

Important: If mobile app user has the push notifications for the MEE Mobile App inactivated on the device setting, any push notifications from the Equus Platform will not be received.

A screen that contains an authorization code request will then be presented.

To authorize the mobile device to use the app, login into the Mobile Employee Experience in a desktop or mobile browser and navigate to the Account Settings screen. In the Mobile App Activation section of the Account Settings screen, enter the authorization security code from the mobile app and click the [Activate] button.

If the device does not successfully register, the following message will appear:

If the device registry is successful, the message pictured below will appear and the device will show in the Activated Devices section of the Account Settings screen.

The mobile device will show that the authorization is in progress. Once the authorization has been approved, the application will open.

It is likely that a device registration prompt will show when the application is opened for the first time. The code to enter on the Device Authorization screen is sent to the email that is associated with the portal account. This step can be avoided when opening the app in the future by checking the ‘Remember this device for one year’ option.

Upon completion of registration of the app, the app will be accessible on the mobile device using the phone’s password or a fingerprint to open the app in the future. If the app is removed from the device, the device will need to be authorized again. It is important to note that the app can be activated for multiple devices through the Account Settings in the MEE.
