Security

If a user does not have access to a particular country/segment/special security, assignments to that country/segment/special security will not be reflected in the detail. They will however be reflected in the higher level summary (counts in charts for example, but not in the detail report). Detailed reports may not add up to totals reflected in summary charts.

When company security and Assignment security is in place, a client user will only see data for the particular company he/she is logged in under and an employee user will only see data for the particular assignment he is logged in to.

Dashboard Configuration

Dashboards are created by selecting a dashboard template, and assigning widgets to zones within the template. Dashboards can then be assigned to the portal according to User Type, at a Company level. This is done on the Portal Configuration page on the Company tab. When you add a new User Type, you will see a drop down list of available Portal Dashboards to assign.

Dashboards appear in the list once they are configured via metadata (once there is an entry in the WEBPART_PORTAL_TEMPLATE table). For more information on adding or removing widgets, creating widgets and widget properties please refer to the Widget Maintenance section later on in this manual
