Business Rules can be migrated from the system level or company level and created at the system level or company level. The Business Rule Migration Package Type allows users to migrate an entire business rules selected from the type-ahead drop-down list.
The selected business rule along with all components referenced within the rule (maths, functions, table lookups, other business rules, inputs and multi-contexts) will be included in the migration package. User Tables referenced in table lookups will also be included in the migration package.
Exporting of the object - follows the same steps as all migration package types and the object is always exported as a file.
Importing of the object - follows the steps outlined in the "For Business Rule, Dashboard Layout, User Report (include Preq and Type), User Table and Widget migration package types" section.
Things to Note
The Migration Package will always create a new object; it will not modify an existing object.
Custom Fields - If the field exists and is configured, it will be included.
For Table Lookups, the data on the User Table is not included as part of the migration package. See Things to Note section for User Table migration package types.
