Note that if the record is saved with the value <**Please Select**> in the Company Association Default Rule field, the resource will have access to all Companies by default.
To add multiple rows, enter the number of rows on the left of the
button, and then click on
.
Depending on the Default Rule, specify whether you want to include or exclude a company by clicking on the downward facing arrow and selecting a value from the drop down list. Click on
to save the changes.
It is possible not to specify any company exceptions, for example: when a resource name requires access to all companies or if there is only one company in the system.
If a resource name requires access to 5 specific companies (B,C,D,E and F) and there are seven companies in the system (A,B,C,D,E,F and G) there are two ways that this can be configured:
Option 1: Set the Default Rule to <Associate with All Companies> and specify the two companies to be excluded with the resource name (A and G)
Option 2: Select the Default Rule to <Associate with No Companies> and specify the five companies that resource name is to be associated with (B,C,D,E and F)
