Equus Platform has the ability to track and record the browser type and version that is used by each user that signs into the application. This information is stored in the database can be reported via a User Report.

In order to report on this information, include the <Browser Usage Log (View)> in the User Report Type. This view includes the following information:

  • Browser & Browser Version – these two fields include browser and browser version information for each user (e.g. IE 9.0).

  • Log Date – the day that the login occurred. For example, if ten users logged in using Chrome on July 1, 2025 and eight users logged in using Chrome on July 2, 2025 the report will return two rows one for July 1, 2025 and one for July 2, 2025.

  • Platform – the operating system information for each user.

  • Unique User Count – a count of each user that has logged into the system with that browser, browser version and platform. This field is aggregated by user id. For example, if in one day a user logged into the system once and different user logged into the system eight times the count is 2.

The logging of this information is controlled by a System Preference (Logging of system usage - EQLOGINGON).

By default this preference is turned on and the user browser information tracking will occur. The logging can be disabled by setting the System Preference to EQFALS; please contact Equus if this logging should be disabled.
