The Theme Builder allows users to customize colors and logos for the entire system to create custom screen styles. Themes can be applied for both internal and external portal users or separate portal-only themes can be created.

Only one system theme can be active along with one system portal theme. If no active custom themes exist then the Equus Platform/Grow theme is used.

Customizing colors and logos for the Mobile Employee Experience and/or Landing Experience can also be done through the company or system-level Theme Builder screens. To learn more about creating and customizing MEE themes, click here.

Themes can be created at the system or company level. Company-specific themes apply only to external portal users of the company they are created for and configured using the company theme builder located in the portal configuration section of a company.

Types of Themes

The Themes summary grid on the Themes screen lists the all theme types that can be used.

  • System and/or System Portal: This is the Equus Platform Default Theme and is used if no active system, system portal, or company portal theme exists.

  • System: If active, all internal and external portal users will see this theme on all pages unless an active system portal or company portal theme exists for the specific company.

  • System Portal: If active, all external portal users will see this theme on all portal or external approval pages unless an active company portal theme exists for the specific company.

  • Company Portal: This can only be created at the company level and if active all external portal users of the company will see this theme on all portal or external approval pages.

  • Mobile Employee Experience: This can be created at both the company and system level. This theme controls the colors, images, and logos of MEE screens.

  • Equus Connect: This can be created at system level only. This theme controls the colors, text color, and logos for the Equus Connect App.
