On the User Maintenance screen there is a Has All Assignment Rights checkbox that is only visible when the User Type is set to <Internal> or <Internal Read Only>.
This checkbox should only be checked for “super users” that have rights to all assignments. These users would be those that have rights to all Companies, Company Segments, Special Security Groups and Countries therefore the Company Access section, Company Segment Security tab, Special Security Group Security tab and the Country Security tab are not visible on the User Maintenance screen.
When the checkbox is ticked, the system will not perform the assignment rights check for these users, which can improve performance for these users and also help reduce the overall load on the system. It is recommended that this checkbox be checked for these users that should have rights to all assignments.
When a user does not have access to all assignment rights i.e. the Has All Assignment Rights checkbox is not ticked, the User Maintenance screen will show the additional tabs and the Company Access section at the bottom of the screen.
These tabs provide an additional level of security which restricts what assignments can view:
When the Has All Assignment Rights checkbox is ticked and the
is pressed, a warning window appeared. When this checkbox is checked and the record is saved, all pre-configured Company, Company Segments, Special Security Groups, and Country rights will be removed and the user will be granted rights to all. Click
to continue.
