Regions are a collection of countries that can be used to define the service area of vendors and/or for reporting on Assignment and Authorization To and From Region locations.

The System-level Regions screen can be accessed by utilizing the Global Search.

The screen lists all of the available Regions that can be assigned to Vendor Service Areas or that can be used for Assignment and Authorization Location Region reporting. This screen allows users to add new Regions or edit existing Regions.

System Level Regions Screen

A Company level Regions screen also exists and can be accessed by utilizing the Global Search tab, within the System Overrides menu group on. Company level Regions can be created from scratch or by copying existing Regions from the System or another Company.

Note: If ANY Company Level Regions have been configured for this company, then NO System Level Regions will be used for this company.

Company Level Regions Screen

The Region Details screen allows user to provide a Region Name, specify a Region Type and also the Country(s) to be included in that Region.

Region Details Screen

Each Region must be given a name. For Vendor Service Area Regions this will be the value that is displayed in the Regions list on the Service Area tab of the Vendors screen. For Assignment Location Regions this is the value that will be returned on any user report created to report on Assignment and Authorization Location Regions.

A Type must also be selected. The value selected determines the availability of that Region to Vendor Service Areas and Assignment and Authorization Location Region reporting. The Region Type field will be disabled and automatically set to Assignment Location for Company level Regions.

  • <Assignment Location> - used for Assignment and Authorization Location Regions. As user report can created using the Assignment Regions (View) or the Auth Stage Assignment Regions (View) to report on Assignment’s or Authorization’s Region. Each of these views will determine an Assignment or Authorization’s To and From Region from the Assignment/Authorization’s To and From Country, respectively.

  • <Vendor Service Area> - used for Vendor Service Areas. When this type is selected the Region will become available for selection on the Service Area tab of the Vendor

  • <Both> This Region Type will allow a Region to be available to both Vendor Service Areas and Assignments/Authorization location Region reporting.

Note: A Region Name must be unique per Type. For example, a Vendor Service Area Region Type cannot have the same name as another Vendor Service Area Region Type but it can have the same name as an Assignment Location Region Type. If the Both Region Type is selected for a Region then the name for that Region must be unique regardless of type. The Region Name for Company level Regions must be unique within the Company.

Users can add countries to a region by clicking and highlighting a region in the "Available Countries" list and clicking on

. Likewise, if a user wishes to remove a country from a region by clicking and highlighting a region on the "Selected Countries" list and clicking on

. Multiple countries, in either list, can be selected by holding the Ctrl (control) key on the keyboard and clicking the desired countries. To assist in locating counties in either list, full or partial text can be entered in the Search boxes to filter the lists down to matching entries.

Note: Assignment Location and Both Region Types will only allow for a Country to be associated with one Region.
