Assignment Packages

Several improvements have been made to Assignment Packages.

  • Assignment Packages have been enhanced with the ability to automatically mark a Cost Estimate and/or Compensation Calculation as "Primary" when created by the Assignment Package. Marking a CE/CC as "Primary" is useful for other features of AssignmentPro that need to reference a specific Cost Estimate or Compensation Calculation (e.g. User Reports, Merge Documents, etc.). Additionally, the Assignment Packages Configuration screen has been redesigned to provide a more intuitive experience.

  • Previously, when an Assignment Package Batch failed due to a deadlock (or for any other reason) during the undo process, the batch would be stuck in the “Partial Undo” status, and the remaining packages couldn’t be undone. Now, users can Undo the batch as many times as needed in order to successfully get the batch into an Undone status.

  • Previously, when requesting a package through an authorization using custom prompts for reference, the value that was displayed was a system lookup code and not the value selected upon creating. This has now been fixed and correctly displays the selected value and no longer the system lookup code.

  • Assignment Packages and Assignment Package Batches have been enhanced in how they handle User Reports that are attached to a Compensation Calculation's Spreadsheet Calculation. The User Report can now filter by a Compensation Calculation ID, as long as the parameter name is renamed to CostEstimateID using Custom SQL. This functionality is helpful for logic that cascading line items would not cover.

Compensation Calculations

The following improvements were made to Compensation Calculations:

  • Added the ability for users using the Expat4Cast Hypo Tax features to align the hypo tax calculation to a policy in order to exclude social security taxes. Previously, if social tax was an eligible income tax preference in an authority, it would always be included which may result in under-withholding of hypo tax. A checkbox now appears for Expat4Cast Hypo Tax line items to control social security taxes.

  • In some Compensation Calculations, custom fields were displaying twice and/or inappropriately editable on the Review & Reports tab. This has been corrected.

Compensation Worksheets

Users can now see company-level custom fields on the Compensation Worksheet and Compensation Worksheets Line Item Details screens. This change allows those custom fields to be applied on user reports.

Cost Estimates

Some corrections were made to Cost Estimates.

  • The Net Excess Tax calculation in the Cost Estimate Years 1-6 Report was corrected to exclude Home Country Fringe Benefits Tax. This allows users to rely on correct values for decision-making.

  • In some Cost Estimates, custom fields were displaying twice and/or inappropriately editable on the Review & Reports tab. This has been corrected.

Children & Dependent Details

Users can now attach a document to the Children & Other Dependents Passport record. These documents will automatically be set to Type of Dependent Passport, and are included with data exchanged with Immigration providers when using Immigration Services Permission Set for vendor integration.

Document Types

To further improve document types and to make document types more specific to a page or section, enhancements have been made to include more information for types provided by Equus. These changes will also help to support vendor integration by specifying document types so that they can be more easily identified and shared between client and vendor.

  • Employee Passport has been added as a new system document type that will only be available on the employee page under the passport section. The only changes that can be made to this document type are Alias Name, Description and Data Sensitivity.

  • A document uploader has been added to the Employee page under the Passport section. The document uploader only allows for the Employee Passport document type to be uploaded. Only one document can be uploaded per record, but multiple passports can be added in this section.

  • To better assist in identifying document types released by Equus and those individually by clients, the fields “System Code” and “System Name” were added to each record to display that those document types are system generated.

Email Integration

When emails were being sent into AssignmentPro using email integration and included logos or signatures, the system was importing them as attachments/documents and increasing the size of the database. This has now been corrected now so that emails with these features show with a logo or signature without creating them as attachments.

Employee Details

Users can now attach a document to the Employee Passport record. These documents will automatically be set to Type of Employee Passport, and are included with data exchanged with Immigration providers when using Immigration Services Permission Set for vendor integration.

Imports

A few modifications were made to Imports.

  • When using the Employee/Assignment Flexible Header Import, the import was causing an error when certain column names were included on the spreadsheet. In some instances, if it was the last column on the CSV file, the import was failing. This has been corrected.

  • Users are now able to successfully import information regarding Dual Career Moves for an assignment using the Employee/Assignment Flexible Header Import.

Merge Documents

To further improve the functionality of merge documents, they have been enhanced to allow Excel merge documents to support repeating sections or detail lines. These details can be totaled, as well as broken into sections and sub-totaled. For example, it allows a user to create an Excel merge document that looks like a cost estimate, or compensation worksheet that displays a list of financial rows with subtotals and a grand total. In addition, Excel merge documents now allow merging using multiple data sources (i.e. multiple user reports feeding one Excel merge document). This allows the merge document to have multiple repeating sections each getting its data from a separate user report.

Security Updates

As a standard process, Equus fixes vulnerabilities found through testing and analysis. For this release, a few enhancements have been made to address findings.

Spouse/Domestic Partner

Users can now attach a document to the Spouse/Domestic Partner Passport record. These documents will automatically be set to Type of Spouse Passport, and are included with data exchanged with Immigration providers when using Immigration Services Permission Set for vendor integration.

User Reports

When defining a User Report Type, clicking the "Show More" button to choose a path would intermittently display an "Unexpected Error" message. This has been resolved. This provides additional flexibility to users who want to report on more complicated paths.

Vendor Integration

This release continued to focus on integration capabilities with vendors who don’t use AssignmentPro, allowing for additional process efficiency, vendor communication efficiency, data accuracy, and easier vendor service visibility. For more information about vendor integration, please see the Vendor Integration user manual.

  • An Assessment, Orientation, and Training permission set is now available!

  • An issue was found with the Immigration permission set where if spouse data was not included, the initial push of data to the vendor failed. This has been corrected. Also, some data was added to the initial push, so the vendor has a more complete dataset. Finally, additional fields were made available for the vendor to write to, to support business needs and provide a better picture of the services being delivered.

  • Some corrections were made to the Move Management permission set related to the initial push of data to the vendor.

  • The Tax permission set has been updated to more easily allow vendors to retrieve necessary data.

  • The list of available Integration Permission Sets on the Security tab of the Vendor Details contained some incorrect items. This has been corrected, and the list is now accurate.

  • Previously, all JSON results sent through vendor integration had quotation marks around all of the supplied data values regardless of the data type. In order to meet industry standards, quotations are no longer used on numerical and boolean data types.

  • The AssignmentPro initial connection with the vendor that happens as part of the vendor integration configuration process has been enhanced.

Vendor Access

Vendors will no longer have access to service orders that have not yet been ordered. This applies to vendors accessing data via the Vendor Portal, as well as vendors accessing data via vendor integration.

Visa and Work Permits (Immigration Services)

Significant changes have been made to the Visa & Work Permit screen to better align AssignmentPro with current business processes. These changes will also support vendor integration, particularly immigration providers assigned the Immigration Permission Set.

  • New fields have been added to the Visa and Work Permits screen to capture additional information often needed to support managing this service. Please review any custom fields that may have been added to this screen and retire them if possible. Instead, utilize the new standard fields.

  • A handful of fields have been renamed. Please verify whether changes are needed to custom widgets, user reports, imports, etc. that are related to Visa and Work permits. The renamed fields are Filing Location Country (to Issuer Country), Filing Location City (to Issuer City), and Filed With (to Issuer).

  • Deregistration is now available as a Type of Application.

  • The Visa & Work Permit Import has been updated to support the new fields.

Widgets/Dashboards

The following improvements were made to Widgets/Dashboards:

  • A new Equus Dashboard has been created for the Widget Maintenance screen and will be shipped on by default. The dashboard will contain one widget that is used on the widget maintenance screen. The dashboard is called “Equus Internal Widget Maintenance Dashboard Layout”.

  • A widget has been created that will reside on the Widget Maintenance screen and will allow a user to quick link to all user reports that are part of the given widget. This widget is called “Internal – Widget User Report Links”.

    • As part of this widget creation a new user report was created called “Equus Dashboard - Widget User Report Links”

    • As part of this widget creation a new user report type was created called “Equus Dashboard - Widget User Report Links”

    • As part of this widget creation a new view was created for usage in user reports/types called “Widget Property User Reports (View)”
