Overview
Equus Connect is now available for desktop! It is built for internal mobility teams or mobility professionals using the Equus Platform and mirrors the experience of the mobile app.
Access Equus Connect Desktop through your browser - there is nothing to install. The design has been adapted for desktop and we have added a couple features not available on mobile:
Users can access Landing Experience Dashboards from Equus Connect Desktop. A new Equus shipped dashboard provides quick access to the most used tasks and information.
Users can switch between Equus Connect and the Equus Platform with a single click of the toggle icon
Equus Connect Desktop includes the following screens:
Access each screen by clicking on the menu item on the left. You can also access your profile details at the bottom of the screen:
Homepage
The homepage screen has two sections:
Upcoming Dates - displays important upcoming events that are occurring in the next 15 days
Recent Assignments - displays up to the last ten mobility cases you accessed on Equus Connect
Click on any of these items to take you directly to the event or mobility record.
Mobility
This screen shows you a filterable list of all the assignments in the Platform. The initial search parameters only show assignments where you are the assignment coordinator. If you are not coordinating any assignments, you will see all the assignments in the system.
Use the filters to refine the results by Coordinator, Home and Host Country, Policy and Company (if there are multiple companies configured in your Platform). Note, if there are multiple companies in your Equus Platform, a company must be selected in order to be able to search by policy.
You can search for assignments by employee name by clicking in the search box. Note, search results will take into account any active filters.
Click an assignment to open it. All information related to the assignment will be displayed, including buttons to access:
Checklists
Communications
Cost Estimate
Use the Information Tabs to view the assignment information. Note that most standard fields in the Assignment Details, Assignment Status and International Assignment Details sections (General Info. Tab) are editable with some exceptions.
Tasks
The Tasks screen is a list of all checklist items. By default, you will see a list of all the open items assigned to you, sorted by the soonest due dates.
You can search for specific checklist item names, or the assignee name.
Also, you can filter search results by Assigned To, Status and Due Date.
Clicking on an item will display key details, dates and a link to the relevant assignment’s page.
You can complete checklist task by clicking:
Note, tasks configured to automatically complete when a particular action is performed in the Equus Platform are marked as such, and you will be alerted of this if marking one as complete.
Tickets
This lists out tickets sorted by ticket number. By default, the screen filters to tickets where the current user is the owner.
You can filter by 'My Tickets', 'My Created Tickets' and 'All Tickets'.
Tickets can be edited and the status updated on this screen. Note, new tickets should be created in the Ticket Center itself.
Dashboards
The dashboards screen gives you access to Landing Experience dashboards that are available to you in your Equus Platform. Use the
icon to select the required dashboard.
You can also use the global search to access main Equus Platform screens.
Things to Note
The Equus Connect system preference (code = EQCONNECTL) must be set to Yes to display Equus Connect Desktop
Switching between the Equus Platform and Equus Connect using the Switch icon while viewing an assignment record will keep you on the same assignment record
Internal users should have a role that includes page rights to the 'Connect Dashboard' page
Exceptions to editable fields include. This also applies to the app:
Assignment Details section
Purpose is not editable
Services Authorized Date is not editable (this is set when services are approved in the Equus Platform)
Assignment Status section
Assignment Status is calculated. This cannot be directly edited, but can be changed (e.g. by setting the Complete Date to a date in the past).
On Hold Until Date, On Hold Reason, Cancel Date and Cancel Reason are currently not editable
International Assignment Details section
Dual Career Move, Dual Career Type and Linked Assignment ID are not currently editable
Assignment Custom Fields are editable
