Documents and configurable client / MEE help content can be published to the Mobile Employee Experience (MEE) for employees to help assist with their moves. Documents must first be uploaded to the Company Documents Library screen.
Publishing documents to all employees
In this example, when the Employee Viewable field is ticked for an active document, the document is published to the All Documents screen in the MEE for all employees.
This is how it appears in the Mobile Employee Experience in the All Documents screen.
Publishing help content to targeted employees
To publish configurable client / MEE help content to the MEE for a targeted audience, "documents" must first be uploaded to the Company Documents Library using the Category of <MEE Help>.
External files / content
In this example, an external YouTube video is added to the Company Documents Library. Note that the Employee Viewable checkbox must not be ticked if the content is intended for a targeted audience. Ticking the box will publish the content to all employees no matter whether a QWF is configured to publish the contents or not.
After the Quick Workflow is triggered to deliver the MEE Help content, this is how it appears in the MEE. When a new "MEE Help" external document (source = external) is published, a notification appears in the notifications section. The words "MEE Help" that appears in the notification can be customized using the Lookup Maintenance screen and selecting <Document Library Category> as the LookupField value.
The client help document will appear in the All Documents screen in the MEE. Any new published documents are easily identifiable by the "New" badge. All documents where <External> is selected as the Source on the Company Documents Library screen will appear under the category heading of MEE Help in the MEE. The heading "MEE Help" can be customized in Lookup Maintenance screen. The value appears under the LookupField value of <Document Type Category>.
When the document is a link to an external video, clicking on the card will open a new tab in which the video will be displayed. To exit the tab or video, click on any item in the navigation menu or use the browser back button.
Internal files / content
In this example, an internal video that is hosted in the Equus Platform is added to the Company Documents Library. Note that the Employee Viewable checkbox must not be ticked if the content is intended for a targeted audience. Ticking the box will publish the content to all employees no matter whether a QWF is configured to publish the contents or not.
When a new "MEE Help" document is published as an internal document (Source = Internal), a notification appears in the notifications section. Any new published documents are easily identifiable by the "New" badge.
In the All Documents screen, the document will appear under the Category for the Document Type that was selected on the Upload Document pop up window. If the selected Document Type does not have "MEE Help" as the Category, the uploaded Document will not appear in this Category but in whatever the Category the Document Type is configured to as per the Document Types screen.
When the card is clicked the file will be downloaded so that the video can be watched,
When company documents are delivered to the MEE using a QWF they will also appear on the Assignment Documents screen:
Note:
It is not possible to delete any MEE Help content delivered by a QWF by the employee in the MEE or internally using the Assignment Documents screen. This is how the documents appear to an internal user.
Any External Link type content can only be viewed in the MEE and not from the Assignment Documents screen.
