Key Features

Release v16.2 includes a number of new features which significantly enhance the functionality of AssignmentPro.

Request a Package from an Assignment Authorization

Assignment Packages now enable HR to request their own FULLY AUTOMATED:

  • tax cost estimate,

  • compensation statement,

  • and assignment letter

prior to routing the assignment for approval.

Need your mobility team to review the package before it is delivered back to HR via the authorization? That is supported as well.

In v16.1, we released Assignment Packages which allow all required assignment package related documents to be generated in one click, including a cost estimate, balance sheet, and/or assignment letter. Now your human resource or business partners can do this themselves.

Authorizations – Assignment Package Requests

Assignment Packages can now be requested from an authorization. They can be set up to be fully automated, semi-automated or follow the current standard practice of two-party request and process. Users can configure authorizations to call assignment package requests using the following processes.

  • Automated Building – Automatically creates an assignment and/or an assignment package based on the processing configuration.

  • Automated Delivery – Assignment Package is automatically delivered to the authorization once built.

  • Assignment Only Building – Requests can be made to build an assignment, but to notify an internal user that the package request will need to be manually delivered.

  • Manual Creation – Assignment Packages can be requested without the package request type being chosen. All elements of the request and delivery are functions of a manual process performed by multiple parties.

  • Manual Delivery – Assignment Packages can be built and delivered manually from the Assignment Package Page.

  • Approval Routing – Assignment Packages use the approval routing functionality within authorizations to assist in completing the finalization process for authorizations.

  • Notifications – Internal and external users can configure and receive notifications based on the status of an authorization request through the internal notifications or quick workflow functionality.

  • Quick Workflow – Authorization requests for packages can use quick workflows for status changes or notifications throughout the process.

Assignment Packages

  • There was a defect that caused the link to an Assignment Package to vanish if the sort function was used in a Cost Estimate or Compensation Calculation list. This has been corrected.

  • Previously, when a user attempted to build an assignment package with the effective date field left blank, the screen would display the cost estimate prompts and tax license before displaying the message to correct the blank effective date. This has been corrected so that an error message for the missing effective date appears before the user is directed to complete additional screens for the Assignment Package.

  • Previously, during the process of prompting for calculation inputs, Assignment Packages would not show any of the calculation inputs for a calculation if any one of the calculation inputs was set to receive an input from the output of another line item (“cascading” inputs). This has been corrected so that all of the appropriate inputs for that calculation now show

  • In addition, during the process of prompting for calculation inputs, some default amounts from spreadsheet calculations would not be recognized and the package would prompt for the input. This has been corrected.

Compensation Worksheets

  • Previously when there was a data dictionary override making the COMP_WORKSHEET_LINE_ITEM!CAPTION force read-only, the caption did not display correctly if the user added a new line item on the Compensation Worksheet. This has been corrected so that the caption now displays.

  • Items on the Compensation Data Repository Page that are mapped to Compensation Worksheet line items using the Compensation Data Repository Based Calculation can now be entered in a currency other than home or host and will be converted to home (when exchange rates exist).

Homesale

  • Users can now configure a Quick Workflow to be triggered by data on any Property Offer, instead of just an Active Property Offer.

  • A Quick Workflow can now be triggered by data on any Property Listing Employee and Property Listing Employee Period, instead of just Property Listing.

Security

  • AssignmentPro pages now include a Content Security Policy in the header, which instructs the browser to reject several categories of malicious script that may be injected into a page. The policy details can be configured by a technician if necessary.

  • AssignmentPro pages now include a Strict Transport Security setting in the header. This instructs the user’s browser to automatically convert any insecure HTTP requests into secure HTTPS requests.

Imports

  • Under certain conditions, extra spaces in currency fields of the Employee/Assignment Flexible Header Import would cause the import to fail. This has been corrected.

  • The ability to import the Relocation/Assignment Policy into the Assignment Page based on the Policy Name, Number or External Name has been added to the Universal and Generic CSV Imports.

User and Role Security

  • The Grant/Deny and Save/Delete buttons are now disabled if a security role is set to have view-only rights to the Security Role Maintenance Page.

  • Under certain conditions on the Security Role Maintenance Page, an error was triggered after clicking the Grant/Deny buttons when creating a Role Maintenance record. This has been corrected.

  • Previously, when a user selected the Country Security checkbox on the ‘Country Security’ tab on the User Maintenance Page and then chose to Save & Duplicate the existing user, the checkbox selection did not persist to the newly-created user. This has been corrected.

Miscellaneous Enhancements

Compensation Data Repository: Production Reports, Notes & Communications, Checklist Items and Relocation Policy Fields can now be initiated or reviewed from the Compensation Data Repository Page.

User Report Types: An update was made to allow more search combinations for potential paths.

Email Header Settings: A new screen has been added for Email Header Settings which allows the user to override the system default email attributes of From Email, Reply-To Email, and Sender Email for all emails going out of the system. See the Security and System Configuration User Manual for more information.

Survey Layout: Surveys have a new Layout Type option which allows the user to select between two different survey layout formats.

Compensation Accumulator Template: Previously, when commenting on an (active) Account in a Comp Accumulator Template using IE 9, a user could save a comment but the screen would not reflect that it was recently saved. This has been corrected. Users now have the ability to successfully create and save comments in IE 9.

Company Level Custom Fields (Performance Management): Previously, when adding a Company Level Custom Field for the Performance Management Ratings/Goals, the added custom field would not display properly. This has been corrected and the user now has the ability to create and display Company Level Custom Fields on the Performance Management Ratings/Goals Page.

Company Portal Configuration: Previously, a default value was selected for the field Dashboard Template (Old) when choosing a User Type of External Client or External Employee. The default value would also overwrite the value chosen by the user for this field upon saving the record for the first time. This has been corrected. There is no longer a default value for the field Dashboard Template (Old).

Company Level Custom Fields (Relocation Screen Contacts): Previously, when a Company Level Custom Field for the Relocation Screen Contacts was marked as available on an authorization, the custom field would not display after saving the record. This has been corrected and the user is now able to see the Custom Field that was previously saved.

Relocation Policy: Previously, if a user selected the Show on Screen by Default checkbox for Policy Field Details and then copied the existing Relocation Policy, the checkbox selection would not persist to the newly-create Relocation Policy. This has been corrected.
