Visa and Work Permits Summary
The Visa and Work Permits Summary screen provides a high-level overview of the set of Visa and Work Permit screens used to track requests for service and other details. It is found at the Assignment level by clicking on the Visas & Work Permit menu item under the Assignment Management menu group.
Visa and Work Permit Requirements
Use this grid to identify the basic immigration needs for employees and their families. To update this screen, click the Edit Requirements hyperlink.
Visa and Work Permit Service Request
Use this grid to create and update the immigration services for employees and their families, as well as order services from a vendor.
Clients who don’t order services from the Visa and Work Permits Summary screen can hide this grid using Screen Section rights. This can be done in Role Maintenance by removing the View Screen Section Right from Visas and Work Permits - Service Request Summary Grid in the Security Role Maintenance section.
The display of the People/Services field(s) are governed by a Screen Section, and will not display if they are turned off. See the “Visa and Work Permits Service Request Details” section for details.
Visa and Work Permit Details
Use grids in this section to:
View, create, or edit Case record(s).
View, create, or edit Detail record(s) associated with a Case.
The Case Information grid displays details about the Case. One Case record may be created for one or more people, and may result in the acquisition of one or many documents (a.k.a. “Detail” records).
The Document Type grid displays details about the individual immigration documents being acquired for a Case. Creating a Detail record from this grid will associate that record with the Case that contains its [New] button.

Visa and Work Permit Requirements
The Visa and Work Permit Requirements screen allows users to optionally identify the basic immigration needs for employees and their families. It can be used by mobility users to track these requirements, or by vendors to provide these requirements back to mobility teams.
This screen is shown on the Visa and Work Permit Summary and Visa and Work Permit Details screens.
Update this screen by clicking the Edit Requirements hyperlink.
Specify whether a Work Permit and Residence Visa is Required. Optionally identify which family members the document is Required For, and whether it is Required Prior to Arrival.
The choice list showing in Work Permit Required For can be managed in the Lookup Maintenance screen using the <Work Permit Required For> Lookup Field.
The choice list showing in Residence/Visa Permit Required For can be managed in the Lookup Maintenance screen using the <Visa/Residence Permit Required For> Lookup Field.
Provide details about the job for employee to obtain permits using the Job Description field (limit of 50,000 characters).

Visa and Work Permits Service Request Details
The Visa and Work Permits Service Request Details screen (Figure 3) is used to order immigration services from a vendor by allowing users to specify requested services for one or more people and optionally send a Service Order to a vendor.
The screen opens with a grid containing the employee, the spouse/domestic partner, and all dependents identified for the assignment. This grid does not take into consideration the Status of the person (e.g., <On Assignment> or <Not On Assignment>).

Specify one or more Service(s) for each Person:
Use [Shift]-click to select multiple services that are adjacent to each other in the list.
Use [Ctrl]-click to select multiple services that are not adjacent to each other in the list.
Use [Ctrl]-click to deselect a service.
Service(s) will display under the person’s name in italics when selected.
The list of services can be managed in the Lookup Maintenance screen using the <Visa/Work Permit Services> Lookup Field. However, if using Vendor Integration, ensure all immigration vendors can consume the list of services in their systems.
Clients who do not wish to use the Person and Service fields can hide them using Screen Section rights. This can be done in Role Maintenance by removing the View Screen Section Right from Visa and Work Permit Service Request - Services in the Security Role Maintenance This will remove the Person and Service fields from both this screen as well as the Visa and Work Permits Summary screen.
When ready, create and send a Service Order to the applicable immigration vendor. For details about how to do this, refer to the Service Management Manual.
Click [Delete] to delete the Visa and Work Permits Service Request Details record. The record can only be deleted when a Service Order does not exist for it.
