When the [Delete Transaction] button is enabled and pressed to delete the transaction, the following message appears: "Compensation Transaction Processing Cannot be Undone. Transactions have associated Payroll Dates" and the transaction is not deleted.

To delete the transaction, you need to press the [Delete Batch] on the Compensation Worksheet Payroll Reporting screen. This button appears as long as the batch is not in "Published" status. Deleting the batch unties the effective compensation worksheet (CW) to be deleted from the payroll instruction report.

Once the effective CW record in question is "untied" by deleting the payroll report batch, you will be able to delete a transaction. This is because the "Compensation Worksheet Payroll Reporting" groups all processed effective CW records together and locks them so that users cannot make changes inadvertently after the payroll instruction is made to the payroll provider for auditing purpose.
